IVA on HBO: Are conservative states more free?

Dave Oliveria at  Huckleberries Online has posted my commentary today that conservative states are the most free.

My argument is that this is because the basic instinct of conservatives is to leave people alone, while the basic instinct of liberals is to meddle.
