IVA ACTION ALERT: CALL HALLMARK STORE TODAY

The Associated Press is reporting today that Hallmark is now rolling out same-sex wedding cards, featuring two tuxedos and either overlapping hearts or intertwined flowers.

So now Hallmark, the venerable greeting card company, is doing nationwide what 48 states and the federal government have refused to do, and that is to recognize homosexual marriage.

Hallmark’s largest competitor, American Greetings Corp., currently has no plans to enter the market, meaning the customers will have an alternative to Hallmark if they find its efforts to promote the radical homosexual agenda offensive.

Hallmark will give its stores the right to choose whether or not they want to add these cards to their shelves, which means that the owners of Idaho’s Hallmark card stores need to hear from us today.

In the Boise area, all seven Hallmark stores have one owner, and go by the name Jordan’s Hallmark.

I spoke with Anna, the manager of the N. Milwaukee store near the Towne Square mall this morning, and she informed me that the owners are actually attending a Hallmark convention in Kansas City this very day. She added that the owners have a policy of pulling any cards from their shelves that customers find offensive.

It’s time today to be sure the owners of Boise’s Hallmark stores know that many Idaho families will find these cards offensive, and to urge the owners to decline to stock them in their Treasure Valley locations.

I let Anna know she might be hearing from some folks today, urging just such a decision, and I reminded her that a decision to stock these cards could affect consumer choices. This is clearly true here in the Gem State where 63% of Idahoans rejected homosexual marriage at the ballot box in 2006.

Please call Anna at (208) 323-6071 immediately and politely and courteously ask her to relay to the owners that you find same-sex marriage cards offensive and that you are requesting that they decline to offer these cards in their area stores.

Now on the Hallmark aisle: Gay marriage cards
